Licensing FAQ
What formats do master files come in?+
Master clips are delivered as Apple ProRes 422 HQ by default. A compressed H.265 review copy can be sent first for approval, with the full ProRes master following once terms are confirmed.
Is the footage cleared for commercial use?+
Yes. All footage offered here is cleared for commercial licensing. Exact usage rights (territory, duration, exclusivity) are confirmed per project in the license agreement before delivery.
What's the difference between Standard Editorial and Exclusive Buyout?+
Standard Editorial licenses the clip for a defined use while it can still be licensed to others. An Exclusive Buyout removes the clip from future licensing entirely once purchased, priced accordingly.
Can you shoot custom footage instead of licensing existing clips?+
Yes. For a brand-new aerial or cinematography shoot, use the dedicated commission a shoot page instead of the form above, it's built specifically for production bookings and a scope and quote will follow directly.
What's the typical turnaround time?+
Existing archive clips are usually turned around within a few business days of confirming the license. Custom shoots depend on location and scheduling and are quoted individually.
